A group of companies that include AOL, The Jonas Group and MGX Labs launched a new teen-oriented celebrity site called Cambio.
From the release: The site will feature a daily show, series, specials and news about today's brightest stars while live chats provide a chance to be part of the action and social networking components provide a feeling of community amongst users.
The slate of Cambio programming is committed to fulfilling the core requests of fans by offering spontaneous artist-generated videos, special-event programming (news from the red carpet, live streaming, live chats) and original, episodic programming on daily, weekly and/or monthly schedules.
Much of the content at launch is Jonas Brothers-focused, such as the show “Road Dogs” which follows the Jonas Brothers softball team competing around the country. The company says additional artists will be brought onboard as the site evolves.
For instance, it will follow Jordin Sparks visiting her hometown, and Glee’s Matthew Morrison as he visits his high school alma mater.
