Ipeer Goes Live In Taiwan

Taipei-based Ipeer Multimedia International, which already operates a mobile based music download service in mainland China, has launched its service in Taiwan.
To prevent illegal file sharing, downloaded songs are embedded with traceable digital watermarks that include the end user's IP address and iPeer account details. Individual songs are priced at NT$35 ($1.14) each.
Ipeer, the parent company of online music stores Kuro and Ezpeer, began selling a music playback-capable, DRM-free phone in China last summer.
