Aventura 'Open Mic' Karaoke Game Hits iTunes App Store March 09, 2010

Aventura, which was the Top Latin Albums artist of the year in Billboard's 2009 year-end chart, has released a karaoke app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. “Aventura Open Mic” costs $1.99 and allows players to sing along to “Un Beso” and “Su Veneno” by following the lyrics running across their device screens - or they can go solo by hiding the lyrics and turning off the band’s vocals.
The tracks and users’ vocals can be played through speakers, and players can score points depending on the difficulty level they choose.
Updates to the app will include new songs for the game. The app’s seller is Sony Music, with music licensed from Aventura’s label Premium Latin.
Latin artist apps have consisted mostly of free extensions of artist Web sites, but more paid apps have sprouted up recently offering additional content.
