Tokyo-based independent music company Hostess Entertainment says it has signed a deal with Nine Inch Nails to distribute, market and promote the industrial-rock unit's new album, "Ghosts I-IV," in Japan, with a June 4 release date.
Hostess is expected to follow up the release of "Ghosts I-IV" with Nine Inch Nails' other new album, "The Slip."
Other international acts that have released product in Japan via Hostess include Arctic Monkeys, Dinosaur Jr, Mogwai and Robert Wyatt, through exclusive relationships the label has struck with independent overseas companies such as PIAS and Domino.
In January, Hostess signed a long-term licensing agreement with Universal Music Group-owned V2/Cooperative Music.
