Hot 97 Morning Jock Miss Jones Exits Station June 27, 2008

New York hip-hop and R&B radio station Hot 97 (WQHT) announced today morning jock Miss Jones and the morning crew (Michael Sean and DJ Envy) will be relieved of duty as the current morning show "Miss Jones In The Morning" next week and will be replaced with the nationally syndicated show "Big Boy In The Morning" from 7am-10am.
"Big Boy has an unmatched reputation for being entertaining...he also has great relationships with artists," said Hot 97 Program Director Ebro Darden via a statement. "Putting Big Boy on Hot 97 in New York City helps keep the high standard of radio happening for us."
Big Boy has won seven straight Radio & Records "Personality of the Year" Awards and four from the Radio Music Awards, according to Hot 97 promotions director Jacquees Thomas. Big Boy's Neighborhood is currently syndicated in over 30 markets and is distributed by ABC Networks.
The 5am-7am slot will feature Hot 97 DJ and host duo Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg. Both shows will begin on Hot 97 on July 21st.
