Rascal Flatts has signed to Big Machine Records. The trio was previously signed to Disney-owned Lyric Street Records, which shut operations earlier this year. Radio is being serviced with the lead single "Why Wait" today and their upcoming album "Nothing Like This" drops November 16.
After first appearing on the Country Songs chart with the No. 3-peaking "Prayin' for Daylight," Rascal Flatts has earned ACM top vocal group honors each year since 2002 thanks to its winning mix of bouncy country-pop and swooping ballads. Ten of the band's 40 Country Songs entries have reached No. 1, and the trio has sold 19.8 million albums, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "
Big Machine was founded in 2005 by Scott Borchetta, who serves as president/CEO. The label's roster includes Taylor Swift, Steel Magnolia, Jack Ingram, Trisha Yearwood and others.
